Hey, there! I suppose I should begin by introducing myself. My name is Brandy Bethmann and I began my journey in photography actually by accident about eight years ago. I was a single mom, looking for temporary work for the holidays, when a friend invited me to join her at a local studio. I fell in love instantly!
I continued to work there for roughly two years, where I learned a lot about posing (which I still believe is an art in and of itself).
While working towards my bachelor's degree in psychology, I decided to focus my minor on fine arts, where I was introduced to photoshop. This opened up a whole new world! Through many photography classes, I was exposed to the more artistic side of photography, which I believe mixed with my training in posed work, allows me the ability to offer very ecclectic services!
I am now finishing up my master's degree in counseling psychology, where I aspire to be a therapist for married couples and those who suffer from anxiety.
I feel my psychology and photography training both definitely play off each other in the work that I do. I love working with people, getting to know them, and figuring out how to truly capture the essence of who they are. By having both careers, I get many of my artistic and social needs met. It's a win-win situation!
I specialize in weddings, senior portraits, corporate events, and all other types of portraits, including boudoir. I have a traveling studio so you can remain in the comfort of your own home (which is great for kids!) or I specialize in outdoors shoots.
